It has been about a week since I got to Australia. I had great days. I experienced a mix of various cultures. I stayed with three host families. They told me something different about each of those three families. I noticed the wonder of nature in my first home. There were a lot of fruit trees; pineapple, orange, passion fruit, and lemon in the yard. I played with a dog using a ball and on the big swing. I think I experienced what it mean to live with nature. I was also taught how to make TiPi there. I heard Tipi is named after Native American residences. That looked very beautiful. I learned the greatness of family bonds and food culture in Australia. I ate a different country’s food every day, for example, Italian, Indian, Thai and Aussie lamb for dinner. I felt a blend of various cultures. Additionally, I went to my host family’s grandmother’s birthday party. Many family members came here. And they gave letters and gifts to their grandmother. I have learned to respect my relatives. I thought it was beautiful. The third house is the Verrall family. They laugh a lot and are cheerful. I will stay in the house for five weeks. Although I have only been here for a few days, I have learned about the culture of family time. We talk to each other about what happened today everyday at dinner. Also, they always make time to spending with the family. The Olympics is competed now, so I watch that with my host family everynight. I still have time to practice my English and enjoy the cultural differences during my stay.
