オーストラリアサンシャインコーストでの短期交換留学もいよいよ大詰めを迎えました。帰国を間近に控える高1大石さんからの現地リポートが届きましたので、そのまま掲載します。

It has been so many days since I came here. I’m having fun and learning a lot. My dream is to work in education, so I’m going to compare the education systems of Japan and Australia in this report.

First, in Japan, we study with the same classmates and in the same place other than practical subjects. But in Australia, we need to change classrooms every class. And depending on the classes, classmates are different because Australian style is elective classes. I wonder how the school manages the students’ schedules. Also, we have morning tea, assembly every Friday, pastoral care and so on. I thought Australians get along well regardless of age. I love the Japanese style of speaking respectfully and politely to older people. But I also love the Australian style like this.

About 10 days left until I return to Japan. I’m happy but I’m also sad. This 6 weeks experience is so good for me, and I feel it is such a short time. I think that for me this has been the most extraordinary experience of my entire life. I would like to thank the teachers in Shohei for giving me such a special opportunity. I can’t believe it has already been 4 weeks. But I’m going to keep having fun!!
